WonderCon 2009: WonderCon 2009 was the weekend of February 27-29 in San Francisco, and Scott was there pushing around boxes filled with comics and books for people to sign. People were universally friendly at this convention, and everyone we met was very generous with their time and their signing hands. Particularly notable were Howard Chaykin, with whom Scott had a great conversation about the current state of television (and who introduced him to Mark Hamill); Mick Gray, whose daughter gifted us one of the cartoons she spent the hours happily drawing (check out Mick & Holly's Stuff); legendary writer Roy Thomas, who was happy to spend nearly an hour just yakking about nearly any topic; Wendy and Richard Pini, who were excited about the "Elfquest" movie that actually looks like it will be made; and dozens of other people including Mike Mignola, Matt Wagner, Gary Gianni, Mark Schultz, David Peterson, Sergio Aragones and Mark Evanier. Keep checking back - we've only put up about 30% of what was acquired or signed at the convention.
