WonderCon: Northern California's largest comic book and pop culture event. This year's guests included Marv Wolfman, Paul Levitz, Len Wein, Tony Daniel, Giuseppe Camuncoli, Joe Quesada, Jeph Loeb, Jason Aaron, Sergio Aragones, Berke Breathed, Robert Kirkman, Terry Moore, Frank Quitely, Seth, Bill Sienkiewicz, Larry Marder, Geof Darrow, Wendy Pini, Judd Winick and many others. Alternative Press Expo (signed): The Alternative Press Expo was the weekend of October 16th. This year's guests of honor included Tony Millionaire, Megan Kelso, Lynda Barry, Daniel Clowes, Rich Koslowski, Renee French and Tommy Kovac. Paolo Bacigalupi (signed): Winner of virtually every award science fiction has to offer, author of The Windup Girl and a host of excellent short stories collected in Pump Six and Other Stories. We reviewed Pump Six and Other Stories in April, 2008 and reviewed The Windup Girl in October, 2009.

Cherie Priest (signed): Author of the Eden Moore trilogy as well as Boneshaker, which was nominated for the Nebula.  Here newest book is Dreadnought, set in the same universe as Boneshaker.

Rick Meyerowitz (signed): Founding editor of the National Lampoon and creator of the Lampoon's most enduring visual image, the Mona Gorilla.  Meyerowitz has written a new coffee table book on the National Lampoon entitled Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead.

Maira Kalman (signed): Author and illustrator of many children's books including the Max series, and co-creator, with Rick Meyerowitz, of the classic New Yorker cover "New Yorkistan".  Her newest is 13 Words, written by Lemony Snicket.

Lemony Snicket (signed): Author of the Series of Unfortunate Events series.  He also writes novels and short stories under his real name, Daniel Handler.  His newest is a picture book for kids, 13 Words, illustrated by Maira Kalman.

Diana Gabaldon (signed): Author of the bestselling Outlandish series, the latest of which is The Exile, a graphic novel illustrated by Hoang Nguyen.

Margaret Peterson Haddix (signed): Author of Just Ella, the Missing trilogy and the final book in the 39 Clues series, Into The Gauntlet.

Brian Froud and Wendy Froud (signed): The Frouds are also conceptual artists for films (best known for “The Dark Crystal”, “Labyrinth” and Yoda in the Star Wars movies), illustrators for children's books and the creators of Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book and its successors.
